Completed annual furnace tune-up on customer's residential HVAC system. Replaced dirty air filter with customer-supplied replacement, inspected condensate lines and electrical components finding all within specifications. Heat exchanger inspection revealed no compromises, and system demonstrated proper operation with appropriate gas pressures and a temperature rise of 60 degrees. Noted unused humidifier installed on system.
Performed diagnostic assessment on 29-year-old furnace with no heat complaint. Discovered inducer wheel had catastrophically failed due to secondary heat exchanger failure. Visual inspection of the evaporator coil showed significant corrosion. Due to age and condition of equipment, recommended full system replacement, which customer approved. Scheduled installation advisor for immediate consultation.
Inspected 20-year-old electric water heater (Bradford White 59-gallon model) and identified active water leakage. Diagnosed unit as irreparable, requiring full replacement. Communicated findings to customer, secured approval for replacement, and scheduled installation for the following day.
Responded to emergency call for copper pipe burst in basement with customer unable to completely shut off water source. Determined pressure tank had ruptured and electrical panel lacked proper labeling for well pressure pump. Located correct fuse and panel, shut off water to the well, and replaced damaged pressure tank with equivalent model to restore proper system functionality.
Performed plumbing inspection and resolved two issues: 1) Eliminated sewer odor in laundry room by adjusting washing machine discharge hose position in standpipe to prevent trap siphoning, and 2) Cleared slow lab drain by disassembling pop-up assembly and removing hair buildup to improve drainage efficiency.
Performed replacement of expansion tank, pressure/temperature relief valve, and auto fill valve on dual boiler system. Properly installed all components per estimate specifications, ensuring correct water pressure settings. Following installation, successfully restarted both boilers, verified proper heating operation, and confirmed all systems functioning normally.
Responded to no-heat warranty call where diagnostics revealed failed pressure switches. Replaced pressure switch pack, cleaned and later replaced flame sensor, and ultimately replaced control board to resolve persistent low flame current error code. System was tested in all operational modes with good flame rectification confirmed.
Performed comprehensive tune-up on five-year-old Arco air furnace. Inspected heat exchanger (good condition), cleaned flame sensor and condensate trap, and verified proper capacitor function. Confirmed normal operation in both first and second stage firing sequences with no issues detected.
Completed annual maintenance service on Bryant furnace system as part of bi-annual agreement. Performed comprehensive furnace PM with thorough inspection of all components. No issues or concerns identified during service; system is functioning properly and in good condition.
Performed biannual maintenance agreement service on 21-year-old HVAC system. Conducted operational furnace inspection with temperature measurement, filter replacement, and drain cleaning. Found several deficiencies requiring repair including secondary heat exchanger leakage at joints, oil-leaking blower motor with dirty wheel, and broken drain kit nipple currently secured with silicone. Arranged for service advisor follow-up to discuss necessary repairs.
Responded to service call for 14-year-old LP furnace shutting down after brief operation. Diagnosed faulty blower motor confirmed by error code and testing; furnace consistently shut down after 30-60 seconds due to motor failure despite receiving proper power. Provided customer with temporary space heater while discussing permanent repair options; customer expressed interest in ordering replacement motor.
Responded to no-heat service call for Lennox furnace (<10 years old) with thermostat displaying C-2 error code and no air flow. Diagnosed issue as loose connection between thermostat wiring and terminal prongs. Replaced existing thermostat with customer-supplied unit, ensuring proper connections, and verified complete system operation. System now functioning properly.
Responded to no-heat call where furnace was displaying error code 38. Diagnostic inspection revealed exhaust pipe was completely obstructed by mouse nest debris. Successfully cleared blockage using combination of nitrogen blasting techniques (exterior to interior), removed all nest material, and verified inducer housing was debris-free. Applied tape over exhaust pipe, re-glued through pipe, and confirmed proper system operation with no error codes present upon completion.
Responded to customer request to cap off water lines in an unfinished basement area where pipes to an old shower had been previously cut. Performed inspection of the exposed copper piping and successfully capped the open water lines as requested. Customer indicated they plan to complete a full remodel at a later date.
Responded to customer call for furnace not running. Diagnosed that the inducer motor was disconnected from the control board. Reconnected the inducer motor which restored normal furnace operation. Also performed preventative maintenance including cleaning the flame sensor and inspecting all components to ensure proper function.
